Garden Studio
Amankati Garden Studio is a spacious, light and bright, superbly equipped apartment. Situated in the Nelson’s Dockyard National Park, it is just a few mins drive to shops, restaurants, beaches, Marinas, the UNESCO heritage Nelson’s Dockyard and other heritage sites. There is parking, a plunge pool and large patio for alfresco seating & dining.
Situated in the south of Antigua, it is about 30-40 min drive from the capital, St John’s & VC Bird International Airport.

Introduction
The Garden Studio is located in the undercroft of the main Amankati house, with private access through a gate and down a flower-lined path opening onto a private patio and plunge pool. (Please note there is no access to or from the main house directly into the Studio). Our location almost guarantees year-round breezes from the Atlantic which keeps the Studio cool through east-facing windows, however there are fans and aircon too.
The design of the apartment is kept simple and bright to ensure visible cleanliness. The shelves are largely open to allow for them to be emptied and thoroughly cleaned after every guest visit. Please note that we are Government COVID certified.
The whole Studio has been fitted out with high quality furnishings and fittings and is approximately 54 sq m/5881 sq ft.
Living & Dining Area
The main living area has an L-shaped seating area with big, squishy cushions for you to sink into and read a book, listen to your preferred music (connected to the BOSE Bluetooth enabled speaker provided) or to watch TV under the Haiku fan. And you don’t even have to move to change the fan speed as it has its own remote control!
There is a round table for indoor dining should you choose not to sit outside and huge windows and double-opening doors with mosquito curtains, to provide a light and airy living space.
Off the living area is a modern, well-appointed kitchen including Bosch appliances, a double sink with Hansgrohe tap and an extensive range of kitchenware. The expansive sink window overlooks the private garden and slides/folds back to access an outside bartop/seating area nestled in a covered walkway.
Bedroom & Bathroom
Step up from the living area into the bedroom with a comfortable bed that can be configured as one super-king double or two single beds. There is an overhead Haiku fan and the bed is made-up with luxurious, cool Egyptian cotton sheets. Softly draped muslin curtains provide separation from the living area and privacy at the French doors that lead out to the covered side walkway. These can also act as Mosquito curtains.
The bedroom also includes a full-length mirror, clothes hanging & storage, ironing board, drying rack, bedside cabinets and lamps, together with a 5-port USB charging station; and whilst Antigua is a relatively safe place, we have provided a large combination Yale safe in the bedroom to store your valuables to give you peace of mind.
The shower room is accessed just down an underlit step from the bedroom, off the living area. Again, taps and the shower are from Hansgrohe and modern sanitaryware is from TOTO. Fluffy bath and hand towels, pool towels, a hairdryer, soap and an initial supply of toilet paper are provided.
Outdoor Patio Area & Pool
The patio is decked out with reclining chairs, a further seating area plus dining table and chairs. A small Weber BBQ is provided with gas bottle should you wish to cook outside.
Shade is provided via an awning that stretches over the entrance to the Studio and a small plunge pool allows guests to cool off during the heat of the day.
The Studio and garden area are completely fenced off to ensure no friendly visits from our three Antiguan Potcake dogs!
We recommend guests hire a car and parking for one car is available under our car port. Guests will be provided with a remote for the main entrance gates to allow them access at any time.
